Maximizing Play at Hillside Elementary
When Hillside Elementary needed to replace its aging playground equipment and unitary surfacing, the challenge was making the most of a tight footprint without sacrificing play value. The solution was to build up instead of out.
A Nu-Edge® Tower became the centerpiece of the design, adding vertical play through multiple slides, climbers, activity panels and interactive elements. Concert Musical Instruments were incorporated throughout the space to add another layer of sensory and creative play, while new artificial turf surfacing brought the entire project together with a clean, durable finish.
The result is a compact playground that makes every square foot count while giving students plenty of ways to climb, explore, move and play.
